Prof. Yaw Adu-Gyamfi

Professor Yaw Adu-Gyamfi is a Consultant and Professor of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care with over 4 decades of teaching and clinical experience. He is a former Chairman of the Board of National Health Insurance Authority, a position he held between 2017 and 2021.

Prof. Adu-Gyamfi was among the first set of medical students (the pioneers) of the University of Ghana Medical School.

He was part of the group that advocated for the setting up of College of Physicians and Surgeons, Ghana. He currently serves on the Inter-Ministerial Task Force on COVID-19 as well as the Presidential Co-ordinating Team on COVID-19. He is a Consultant at FOCOS Hospital, Accra.

He is a proud product of Adisadel College, University of Ghana Medical School, Lincoln Inn Fields and the Kings College Hospital & Medical School.
